New Accusations by LeapFish CEO Ben Behrouzi

UPDATE May13, 2010: Things pertaining to LeapFish.com, their founders and management, along with related startups are no longer of interest to me, therefore no further comments are allowed on this post. There are also more reliable sources out there (such as Better Business Bureau) to help you make an informed decision about LeapFish.

***You may also want to know that the Law Firm of Daniel Bakondi, in San Francisco, CA, is investigating a possible Class Action Law Suit Against LeapFish.

Leap Fish CEO Ben Behrouzi has sent several threats to my attorney, accusing me to stalking his employees sending him personal threats, phishing and finally today accusing me to have authored negative reviews on Alexa. Here is the copy of his e-mail:

Karl,

Fake negative reviews on Alexa.com by a fellow that sounds awfully like our friend J

Below you will find a screenshot of 2 reviews starting from the top. The next screen shot you will see the author details of one of the reviews. The authors name is Mark Mark, which obviously is not real, but probably is pointed at Mark Kithcart our Director of Marketing… Lastly, you will find a 3rd screen shot where our friend mentions on twitter that an Alexa negative review was successfully made online. With pride mind you. Coincidentally his twitter remark and the recent Alexa negative review took place within 1 hour of each other according to Alexa. And he was the first to report it on twitter? Talk about real time news J Added to the list, clearly he is digging a bigger hole for himself with these back alley mob activities.

The following two images Behrouzi is referring to in his e-mail:

Ben, I have always put my name to everything I ever said about your companies. And in my opinion they are crap. I do not need Alexa to tell you that, Ben. So go ahead sue me, but for goodness sake stop harassing me and my attorney!

Update: If my memory serves me well, there were few other bloggers who, after being encouraged by me left reviews with Alexa. Alexa have since removed those reviews as well.

If you are interested to find out more about LeapFish I highly recommend LeapFish Review by Better Business Bureau.

  1. This posts tone is simply inaccurate and portrays Vlad as a victim, when in reality we are being attacked all over the Internet nearly every day by Vlad. I have to provide some semblance of balance, accuracy and fairness to this post.

There have been an enormous amount of continuous and repeated destructive comments, posts and tweets about the company from Vlad on a regular basis for over 1 year. They have one purpose only and are meant to tear-down, destroy and create a perception of victimization, always only sharing partial information. Others are “encouraged” by Vlad to make negative comments, posts, and tweets by only offering twisted versions of the facts. This is a pattern that has repeated itself continuously and without pause in as many places as possible on blogs, forums, comments, review sites, twitter and more.

We have requested from Vlad on numerous occasions for the attacks to stop. Our recent requests have nothing to do with any lawsuits, settlements or anything else from the past. They have to do with the enormity of destructive behavior being displayed in nearly every capacity online that is not being discussed here. Both anonymously with aliases that are used elsewhere and by name.

I am a strong advocate of free speech, but any simple search will clearly show that free speech is not what is taking place here. We ask you one last time to stop attacking us, our clients and employees.

This is my one and only post.

    Mark Kithcart
    Director of Marketing

  2. Mark,

Do you also claim I am responsible for all the complaints filed against LeapFish with BBB.org:

Mark on several occasions you have accused me of criminal activity – phishing yet your failed to provide a shred of evidence that a)phishing really took place b)I was behind it.

I urge you to file a law suit against me, but this time it better be the one you or your boss can offer sworn statements.

And yes I am convinced this is related to the previous settlement as you boss never stopped explaining the settlement on his blogs. Here is an example of one:

Rumor # 4 : Ben Behrouzi Sued a Blogger to Stop His Free Speech

False. We sued not a blogger, but a single individual, who was seriously defaming our company to get attention for himself. This individual began by calling our products a scam and by defaming me personally on his websites. Every email I sent him to understand why he was attacking us was posted online with a spin to gain more and more attention. He went so far as accusing our firm of having posted disgusting messages online about him. I worked to get us on a phone call, our legal team worked to engage him in a dialog, all to no avail. He continued to portray himself as a victim while attacking our company and people simultaneously. I was left no option but to sue. The case was reviewed by both lawyers, the individual’s response was heard and without getting into the details of the settlement, the individual posted a letter of retraction.

Mark if you don’t have any evidence to offer to back your statements, I am afraid I will have to disallow any further comments like the one you have offered.

  3. @Mark Kithcart –

The industry doesn’t need Vlad to tell us how much your company sucks. We are competent enough to reach that conclusion on our own.

  4. Well I think eperks was a great concept just a leapfish is.

Hear is how I see this whole issue, basically both of these sites sell ad space, its just like placing and ad in the yellow pages what iron clad guaranty do you have on those investments?

    None right

So this in theory is not very far off , but I guess since online media is a new and chartered territory we have so many unanswered questions.

One should do their homework and evaluate their own personal goals and compare them to the products & services offered by any provider..
