I have been member of MyBlogLog since December of 2006 (feel free to add me to your contacts). You probably recognize the widget that shows the latest visitors to this blog located in the side bar.
Through this widget I have met and connected with many outstanding bloggers, business owners, real estate agents and just your regular every day Joe and Jane. In fact it is one of the first place I check every time I work on my blog. Just to see if there was some one new today on my blog or to be absolutely humbled by the fact that some one found my blog interested enough to pay another visit. Never have I imagined I will be banning some one from appearing on that widgets. In fact I never new exactly how to do it. So I learned today…
To my surprise it was very easy. Just hover with your cursor (aka mouse) over the picture of the person you would like to ban. A small red square with a white “X” (as shown in the snapshot below) will appear in the upper left corner of the persons avatar- you have to click on the red little square:

You will be taken to a confirmation page on MyBlogLog website. On that page (see another snapshot below- click on it to see the full size) you have to click the button that says confirm:

That’s it now you know how to ban some one’s avatar or picture appearing on your website. You might have to repeat the above steps if you have several blog listed on MyBlogLog and each blog having its own widget- although I am not 100% sure.
is that why i havent been showing up on yours, Vlad???? =0)
Chris
Chris,
As long as you don't serve a pornographic image as your avatar you're fine. 😉
Also if you stalk me you get banned :)…. Honestly I do not plan to ban anyone in future.
Hey Vlad, Ben is a good example of someone to delete. He must be checking to see if you have exposed any more of his sleazy business practices. You don't even have to, the word is out on him. I continually read posts of people that are getting ripped off by ejerks, not getting refunds as promised and sent to collections after being promised a refund.
Great post to delete a true low life.
Vlad, if I violated anything agreed upon in your settlement I will understand if you have to delete my comment above or edit it. Just for the record, those opinions are my opinions and my observations. 😉
I don't think you did. I don't believe you are bound by the settlement only I am ;). The above example was a pure “coincidence” if you, know what I mean. lol
By the way I am free to discuss the “lessons learned” so is my opponent – which evidently he will be doing at “maxstartup dot com” (sorry can't give him a link).
I hope that if there is any lesson to learn from all of this, is that bloggers in today's world of marketing can be your best friends or your worst enemies and a good practice would be not to screw around with us.
This put a smile on my face. A good example.
I laughed out loud at your example, but i would think you would want to know he visited.
Glad your the suit is settled and you can move on
Ned Carey
Ned, I do know every time he and his friends are on my site. I tag them with woopra.com, but as far as even limited publicity he might gain from appearing on the MBL widegt, he has to find another blog. Glad it it was some what entertaining. 😉
Gee, you could have had his info fly out to the RIGHT instead of the LEFT so he's not covering my beautiful wife's face (it's ok to cover my ugly puss!). ;-D Just kiddin'…good info to have, thanks for pointing this out!
lol
Sorry. It happened so quick I needed to seize the moment because I knew if he comes back he may not want intentionally have his face on my widget. I guess I acted hastily. 🙂
