Appointments Made Easy With Appointy

AppointyHave you ever considered allowing your client to schedule appointments with you right on your website? In search for such solution for my and for my friends and clients websites I came across Appointy, a Florida based startup. You can see the implementation of Appointy scheduling feature on my other website where I allow clients to reserve my interpreting and translating services online.

While Appointy offers an easy integration for WordPress websites via a plugin, their system can be implemented just on about any website through an “ifame” code.

Appointy comes “PayPal ready” allowing you to charge a fee for the appointment at the time of scheduling- either full amount or partial. You are of course free to not charge your clients for appointments, as it would be the case with most real estate agents I know. But if you would like to prevent “no shows”, you might want to implement a minimal fee refundable at the time of the appointment.

Currently Appointy offers four different plans:

  • FREE plan- this basic plan has some limits and you have no option to charge your clients for the appointment at the time of scheduling. Appointy also will inject some ads into your calendar – hey they need to pay their engineers and developers.
  • PLUS plan comes at $9.99 per moth and is ad free but it does not allow you for branding nor accepting pre-payments.
  • PRO plan will set you back about $19.99 per month- the plan I am looking forward to use. You can brand your calendar and accept pre-payments with this plan. This plan includes e-mail marketing tool that allows you to send different e-mails to confirm, remind or even cancel the appointments. The best thing of course that when you sing up for Appointy, you get to try this plan absolutely free for 30 days.
  • Finally the BUSINESS plan wich comes at $39.99 is the top level plan from Appointy. I would recommend this plan for businesses that have several staff members accepting appointments, the plan allows a separate logins for administrator and for the staff.

If you are looking for a solution that would allow your clients to book an appointment with you right on your website, Appointy should be given frist consideration.

As I have pointed out, I am using Appointy myself, although I am only beginning to test many of it’s features and probably have not seen yet what Appointy can really do for my business. I will report on the results about one month from now, so stay tuned.

  1. Vlad, this tool can certainly be useful, but my only concern is that having a calendar where everyone can see it, can give people the wrong impression on whether I’m busy or not.

I know you’re busy juggling different activities so I wonder how you do all of that. Can I include my own deadlines on Appointy or it is just for customers?

  2. Matt,

Appointy is some what of a new startup and they still developing many things. They offer sync with your Google calendar ad iCal. However at this time only one way to Google (unless I have not discovered it how to do both ways yet). I have never used iCal. As administrator I am able to block out any time I like to, so for instance when I get an appointment in another way (not through a website) I can go in and block that time frame.

I think their product would be the most useful for business like hair salons, massage therapist, dentists etc…

I am not sure how well will it serve me. I think once they enable both ways synchronization with other calendars it will definitely improve things for me.

  3. A number of valuable web based software solutions are available online; which can improve the operation of a busy office or practice.

To combat the loss in revenues, resulting from missed meetings and appointments (to both clients and practioners), some professionals have utilized a web based room scheduling software or appointment scheduler; to monitor client meetings and appointments.

Email reminders will reduce no-shows and self-scheduling clients can book, cancel and pay for their own meetings or appointments online. In addition, the scheduler “frees up” time for Professionals to concentrate on other areas of their workload; online or in the office.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge and insight.

    Warmest regards.

  4. Thanks, Vlad. It seems to me that you’re right — some professionals would do better with Appointy than others.

I don’t see it working out for me, for the simple reason my scheduled isn’t always that clear or firm, but I do like the idea of booking something online such as a dental appointment, knowing that I’ll be seen at the appointed hour.

    A good share!

  5. I’m just getting started using Appointy, but so far I’m impressed. We will soon be signing up for the 19.99 or 39.99 plan, not sure which yet. I did a lot of searching on the internets for the best online scheduling software (over several days), and exchanged communication with several other promising similar companies, including TimeTrade, Divvy, Scheduly, and more. One possibility, Appointment Plus, even sent me cookies in the mail (no, not the electronic ones) when I signed up for a free trial (free stuff = sketchy). After looking into Appointy and exchanging many emails with Manishi (she actually answered my questions instead of giving me vague reassurances like other companies), I decided to go with them. They’ve been able to commit to small customizations to make it work for my business, too. Divvy is also a cool company, but not developed enough to make it functional as a full-strength scheduling tool. I know this sounds like a paid promo because it’s so positive, but I’ve just been very impressed. They’ve won my trust, now I hope they deliver.
    Cheers,
    Alan

    1. Alan,

Thanks for stopping by. I have never upgraded my Appointy membership and still am using the free membership. I am still planing on upgrading just did not have time to get around to it.

I saw they have improved a few things since I las logged in.

One of the reasons I have not upgraded was that I need to make sure Appointy will pay for itself. So far I had no appointments made through the system.

    1. Hi Nemesh,

To be completely honest, I have never upgraded from the trial version (long story). TO make it short it was the budget. I am not sating you are to expensive, just I could not afford it at the time. But I do have a few clients that with some modifications can use your Appointy. I will probably use the free version for while myself.

By the way did you ever set up the UI for affiliates on your site? In the past you guys sent me a link to use to refer people, but I did not have idea how to track clicks and hopefully sales.

I think you are still one of the best in the field… So keep up the good work. I will take a look at your newest additions.

  7. Taking online appointments is still something very new for many Businesses and they don’t realize the potential of it. Thats why we have offered a free version which provides unlimited bookings, staff & services. However, once the Business realizes the potential of Appointy then he can select from our various premium plans which starts at $9.99 per month.
But initially we want that the client should realize its potential and then go premium. From this we are building a trust and a powerful business model for future.

Appointy is just not a simple Appointment Mgmt system but it is more that that. Appointy is a tool which can help Businesses grow virally. In 2009, we focused on features for better managing your business and in 2010 we will be committed to bring you more new clients.

And, I am glad that you are using our Free version. 🙂

Yes our affiliate program is live. Just login into your admin area and find affiliate link in the menu. If you have any problems then just let me know and I would be more than happy to help you further.

Looking forward to help you grow virally in 2010.

    Regards,

    Nemesh

  8. Nemesh,

There is one little problem. I don’t even know where is the admin for affiliates. Are you saying the affiliate statistics can be found in admin area of my Appointy calendar at http://vzinterpreting.appointy.com ???

If you remember correctly when I asked you about Appointy’s affiliate program you send me a link to use. But but you never pointed out to me the admin area for affiliates.

Again, in my regular account I see nothing about affiliate program, affiliate links nor the statistics. What am I missing?

  9. Hi,
Please tell me, we are considering switching to Appointy to schedule our appointments as it seems to suit us best, but we want to keep our current SSaS (salesforce.com) to manage our clients. Is there a way for us to interface between the two?
