I have decided to make a major change on this blog. As you can see I am going about it in an usual manner, but I would also like the regular readers to help me out.

A little background….

I owned this domain from the time I have been active real estate agent. The headline “Real Estate Review Blog” sounded like a good idea at the time. However it does not reflect accurately what this blog is all about. There are plenty of outstanding real estate bloggers who at the same time are also great Realtors. I think it is not my place to even address this aspect on my blog, since I do not have hands on experience in the real estate industry.

It is also reflected in that 90% of what I have written here are only remotely related to real estate as my targeted audience is real estate agents.

The traffic to this website and keywords by which users find my blog speak laud and clear. Many of visitors have come to look for subject related to blogging, internet marketing and social media marketing. I am not sure I have ever planed for this, but I think I am ready to start making lemonade out of free lemons.

I have an idea as to what the new headline will read, however I would like to hear your suggestions.

    From blogging and reading ActiveRain I realize that agents can use some “do it yourself” tips. I know there may be a bigger market to try and get in “do it for them”. But as I look at variety of products out there majority are ridiculously priced. Tell me why should an agent pay hundreds and eve thousands of dollars to have a blog set up for them? Something that can be done for as little as $3 per month or even free!

    I have accumulated considerable amount of experience in affiliate marketing that I can share here with my readers.

    So here is what I think the headline of my blog should read “Free tips on Internet Marketing, Blogging, SEO and PPC”. Or something along those lines.

  3. You are not actually renaming your blog, just changinging the tagline? After all, by giving internet marketing advice to agents, you in reality are helping them to go beyond what MLS has to offer.

    “Internet Marketing Tips and Advice for Real Estate Agents” as a tagline? or “How to advance your Real Estate career through internet marketing”?

  4. Yes, I humbly stand corrected. In fact this change will have no bearings
    whatsoever on SEO. The head line is a part of an image served via CSS an
    image without any tags or titles….

    I just think being that I had my real estate license lapsed I can't write a
    “real estate review” blog nor should I.

  5. I disagree with you not being qualified to talk about real estate simply because your license lapsed.

    My biz partner and I have a house for sale that we flipped, and he has bought 4 rental properties this year alone. Are we not qualified to talk about the ups and downs of real estate? Or are you meaning some sort of “secret RE agent” reviews? 😛

  6. I don't think it makes me disqualified. In fact I am very much interested in real estate investing and hope to do it one day. I guess that at this point this blog will benefit others if I write about Internet marketing.

    I also have to keep in mind that with 80% of my readers being real estate agents, I don't have the necessary tools to look into the market conditions as active agents do.
