I registered with the Realdiggity when you where doing the presentation. Not sure if you have considered Pligg or not, many of the functions are already build into Pligg. If I am not mistaken Pligg was the piece of software that gave start to Digg, but do not quote me on this. At the end of the day it really does not matter what software to use. I am a full time real estate agent and this site is my side gig so I am putting it together slowly.
