Give Your RSS Feed A Huge Hug!

RSS HuggerThanks to an outstanding blogger and a super geek, Dane Morgan, I have discovered a new nifty website today called rssHugger.

Dane is one of those guys whose recommendations I tend to follow without scrutiny. So here I am rushing to review the website in order to have my blog approved.

RSSHugger claims to help you to promote your blog. As of registering my own blog there were 2538 other blogs in the system already. You can find my page here. Although my page is still empty, as soon as my blog is approved it should have the links to the latest posts from the RSS Feed of my blog.

Considering the fact that the rssHugger already enjoys a PR 5 and decent Alexa Rank I believe it can potentially bring extra visitors to my blog.

If you decide to join rssHugger you have an option to write a review of their website on your blog or pay $20 (approximately $2 per year) for your blog to be approved.

Once your blog is in the system it can be featured on Top 100 list. I will be sure to follow up with an update when my blog is approved and I collect more statistics.

  1. Dane,

It's a great compliment from some one like you. I always look up to all of you guys for tips and ways to improve my sites.

Off topic question. What do you think of Disqus? They have many kick-ass features but after using it for quiet some time I still have a lot of reservations. Feel free to elaborate on your own blog if you wish. Disqus helps a little in “spreading your links” but it also creates tons of duplicate material. Since my traffic has been increasing steading due to some of my other efforts it is hard to tell if it has affected in either way my blogs.

  2. Hi, Vlad! I agree with Dane. I like the enlarged icons of the RSS, Twitter, and Mybloglog–plus the email subscription and 'call me' features all look inviting. I hope you won't mind if I would 'copy' the clean atmosphere of your site 😉 I've been reading Dane Morgan lately and I'll surely try the rsshugger, too.
